A lot has happened since we first put shovel to dirt and pen to paper to design and build the cottage that we documented in “Building Green.”
Along with our publisher Lark Books, we decided that a digital format was the best way to both add to that resource and keep you up to date on what’s going on in our neck of the green building woods.
Using this resource is simple. At the upper left of this page you’ll find the Table of Contents for “Building Green”. When you click on a chapter heading you’ll be taken to a chapter page that includes a chapter update summary and links to related entries on our blog, articles we’ve written, and other sites of interest.
We hope that this update is helpful and that you return often. Our sincere goal is to be part of positive change in these difficult times. We’ve been at this a long time and have discovered that basically everything we need to do to deal with building related environmental problems will simply make life better for all of us. All it takes is access to the abundant knowledge already in existence and the will to make it happen. Let’s do it together!
Keep it green,
About the blog: Blog entries you’ll be reading are a subset of a larger blog called the Nauhaus Idea Repository. The Nauhaus (pronounced “now house”) is a building system we’ve developed over the last several years. “We” is a network of designers, engineers, builders, developers, artists, interns, volunteers, and other amazing humans dedicated to the creation of a model for urban sustainable living. The Nauhaus Idea Repository is a place we record and share our research, discuss ideas and innovations, and sometimes just have fun. To learn more about the Nauhaus, visit our website.
